Meet Amy

Hi, I'm Amy Byrne

I'm an early childhood educator with a Level 8 BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education & Care, a Certificate in Outdoor Learning and Children First training, and three years' experience in childcare leadership and supervisory roles.

I believe children deserve time and space to explore, create and enjoy childhood without pressure or expectations of perfection. These clubs and camps are about fun, confidence and curiosity — not tutoring.

Safety & trust

A Thoughtful Approach to Every Adventure.

Children's wellbeing, age-appropriate activities and positive experiences are at the heart of everything we do. Here's how we keep every child safe, happy and cared for.

Insurance

Roots of Wonder holds public liability insurance covering our children's clubs, workshops and camps. Every venue is checked in advance, and activities are planned and risk-assessed to suit the age group. Certificate available to parents and venues on request.

Safeguarding policy

Children's welfare comes first. Amy is Children First trained and a Mandated Person under the Children First Act 2015, and follows Tusla's Children First guidance. Any concern is recorded and reported in line with our Child Safeguarding Statement, which parents may request at any time.

Parent information

Before each club or camp you'll receive a welcome email with times, venue, what to bring and what to wear (clothes that can get messy!). A short registration form gathers emergency contacts, consents and anything that helps your child feel comfortable. Your data is kept securely under GDPR and only used to care for your child.

Collection procedures

Children are signed in and signed out every session. They are only released to a parent or an adult named on the registration form; anyone else needs prior notice and a password. Please let us know as early as possible if you're running late.

Medical & allergy arrangements

Tell us about allergies, medical needs or additional needs on registration so we can plan ahead. Snacks are nut-free and listed in advance, and materials are chosen with allergies in mind. Prescribed medication is only given with written parental consent, and parents are contacted straight away about any accident or illness.

Terms & refunds

See our terms and refund policy. Booking terms for children's places are shared with every booking confirmation.
